One was a small bank in the little building beside the Aberdeen and Rockf ish railroad station. The other was an experiment in raising bright leaf tobacco up on the hills that have since come to be called Ashley Heights. Not so many years. But today the Aberdeen tobacco warehouses are hopeful of handling six or seven million pounds of leaf. The Page Trust Company enjoys the sound position of an institution representing six mil lion dollars. % These two grew side by side, encountering their va rious singularities of fortune, helping each other, com rades in the development of the territory. Clouds and Sunshine. For a little while some clouds have been hanging over the financial sky, not here alone, but round the world. Not as bad as some times the country has passed through. And always it is axiomatic that when winter comes spring is not far behind. Side by side the budding tobacco industry and the / little bank can still travel with hope.
