He was 74 years of age. Mr. Gallery was one of the last of the dynasty o fPittsburgh finan cial kings, his interests spreading out through many manufacturing, public utilities and financial concerns. Born in 1858, the son of James Gal lery, president of the Pittsburgh & Westeili Railroad and ijtie Gallery Tanning Gomi>any, he served his ap prenticeship in the latter, succeeding to the business on tiie death of his father in 181)0.
