in Aberdeen, Alleged
John Williams and Hack Reeves,
colored men of Ab._iJeen, were bound
to Superior Court under bond of $400,
charged with robbing \V. Allen,
white man from Vass, of $82. Min
nie Ingram, alias “Minnie the Mooch-
er,” a coloreii woman of Aberdeen,
was also bound to Superior Court
under bond of $400 on a charge of
aiding and abetting in the robbery.
Allen, according to the evidence,
sold tobacco at Aberdeen, after which
Williams and Reeves procured for
him and sold him one-half gallon of
corn liquor. After getting him drunk,
Allen charges, the men carried him
in their car to a point about two and
one-half miles from Aberdeen into
a woods where they took from his
person his W'allet containing $82 and
valuable papers.
Joe Thomas, white, charged with
driving an automobile while intoxi
cated and assaulting an officer was
called and failed.
Prayer for judgment was contin
ued upon payment of the costs in the
case of James G. and E. R. Teague,
found guilty of trespassing upon the
lands of their mother and abusing
her. They are white and reside in the
Hemp section.

RELIEF OFFICE NOTES
Fifty head of relief cattle were or
dered from Washington on Septem
ber 12 to be placed on the 300-acre
pasture of J, L. and M. E. Street of
Glendon. The government is to put
up three miles of fencing for the use
of the pasture.
The Moore county relief office has
6een notified that it is entitled to
send a small enlistment of boys to
CCC camp in October. Registrations
are now being made.
