A. Lawrence, Mrs. D. C. McGill and Mrs. N. N. McLean as hostesses, and with the civics department in charge of the program. How one group of women transformed their town by planting zinnias was present ed in an interesting way by Miss Uet- tie Gschwind and Mrs. W. J. Camer on. Mrs. W. D. Matthews gave a reading on old-fashioned favorites of the flower garden and Mrs. Laubscher read an appropriate poem. The club decided to hold a plant exchange on Monday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Laubscher. A com mittee was named to select a prize to be given to the student of Vass- Lakeview high school making the greatest improvement in his work in English during this year, and Miss Mary Beasley was elected treasurer to take the place of Mrs. B.
