Map Book of Property in County Ordered Photostatic Copies of All Maps File with Register of Deeds To Be Made * in As a result of action taken by the Board of County Commissioners on Monday, two outstanding improve ments are to be made which will be of interest to the public. The board voted to have the Car olina Blue Print Company make a photostatic copy of each map now on file in the office of the Register of Deeds. These maps, which wil be re enforced with cloth, will be in a map book with index and cross index. The photostat is a special photo graphic camera, designed for the di rect photographing of maps, draw ings. etc., directly on the surface of a I specially sensitized paper without a reversal of the image, and producing I a clear record in white on a black ground. The cost to the county will be $861. The maps will be in Raleigh for about three weeks which is the ap proximate time required for the con\- pletion of the photostatic work. The Board voted to give the Ob server Printing House an order for 60 roller book shelves to be installed in the office of the Clerk of the Su perior Court at a price of $300. A permit to sell beer was granted M. M. Poole of Jackson Springs, and a large number of beer licenses were renewed. It was ordered that Pat Ray and Jim Caviness be admitted to the county home, that Paul Thomas be relieved of poll tax on account of disability, and that Nivin Ray be al lowed $10 per month for May and June on account of sickness.
