counties introduced a bill in the House
of Representatives to extend the pro.

1931 to Morehead City, Beaufort and
Atlantic in Carteret county, Albe
marle in Stanly county. Southern
Pines and Pinehurst in Moore county
and communities in New Hanover
county.
The 1931 law which is expected to
cover these towns is the act creating
the State Board of EJxaminers of
Plumbing and Heating Contractors
and to license persons engaging in
the plumbing and heating contracting
business.
The bill was passed by the House
Friday and sent to the Senate, where
early action is expected, unless op
posed by the Senators representing
these counties.

Captain W. L. Epps, father of Mrs.
G. R. Chatfleld of Southern Pines,
died In Charlotte on April 9th, leav
ing a widow, six children, 14 grand
children and two great-grsmdchild-
ren, one of whom is Dorothy Thom-
asson of Southern Pines. Capt. Epps
at one time was employed by the Ty
son & Jones Buggy Company at Car.
