Dr. and Mrs. W. H. Spear left this week to .spend the summer at their home in the north. Miss Jenny L. Robinson, who has been a guest at the Woodworth this winter, left Sunday for Long Island. She will later go to Philadelphia for the summer. Mr. and Mrs. Charles J. Sadler an nounce the birth of a son, Charles J., Jr., on Monday, May 13th, at the Moore County Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Latham, Mrs. Edward Ruggles and small chil dren of Raleigh, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Ruggles last Friday. Mr. Latham attended the bankers’ convention in Pinehurst. Miss Mary Hall is visiting her sis ter, Miss Geneva Hall, in Salisbury for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. J. F. B\ickley and small daughter are leaving this week for a visit north. Mr. and Mrs. Francis Robinson have closed their home on Bethesda Road and left Sunday for the north where they will spend the summer. Mrs. C. L. Clayton and Mrs. L. C. Smith of Sumpter, S.
