Nicholson Freed of Murder Charge
While Hackney Gets 10-12 Years
Former Pleads Self-Defense in
Fatal Fight With Ira Little.
—Bigamy Case Settled
"Not guilty” was the verdict of the
jury in the outstanding murder case
tried in Superior Court in Carthage
last week, and .Tohii Nicholson, who
for three years was a fugitive and
who for the past several months has
been in the county jail, walked out
a free man.
Nicholson is alleged to have fatally
stabbed Ira Little, his cousin and
neighbor, of the White Hill section
during a fight iri which Little was
said to have been choking and beat
ing Nicholson, and the latter pleaded
