Friday, August 2, 1935. THE PILOT, Southern Pines and Aberdeen. North Carolina Page Seven Trio Held in Nash Suspected of Job Here Alleged To Have Burglarized Store in Jackson Springs on July 5th John Page, Milton Creech and Grady Henry, three white men, were arrested last week in Norfolk for al. leged breaking and entering opera, lions around Wilson and suspected of connection with the robbery of the store of Will Thomas in Jackson Springs. They are being held in Nash- ville, Nash county, and will be tried there on two or more charges. Moore county will probably have to wait un til January before bringing them to .trial. The Jackson Springs job was pull ed on July 5, and local officers got a trace at that time as to the identity of the robbers. On last Sunday they went to Edgecombe county and found that some of the goods has been dis posed of there. One of the arrested men was wearing a shirt which was identified as one stolen from the Moore county store. The sheriff’s office was advised by telephone on Monday that one of the trio had confessed and stated that the remainder of the goods had been sold in Virginia to two buyers whose names were not known to him, but that he could take the officers to them. Goods taken from the Jackson Springs store were valued at only about a hundred dollars and it is doubtful if Mr. Thomas and the Sher iff will take the trip to Virginia for that part of the loot sold there.
