Matheson, pastor of the Presbyterian Church of West End, is conducting evangelistic ser. vices at the Morris Schoolhouse. The hour of the meetings is 7:30 p. m. and they will continue until October 27. David Allen, colored boy of Pine hurst, wanted time, wanted it badly enough to steal it, but he didn’t care for as much as three months, es pecially when there was a job on the roads thrown in for good measure. S. E. Decker asked the boy to go with him in his car to show him the way to the home of some friends, and when Decker returned to his automobile, he found that the clock had been stolen from it. Ed Briggs, colored of Aberdeen, was in court charged with failure to support his wife and five children. But when the wife got on the wit ness stand, instead of making the complaints which she had enumerated on the warrant, she pretended that everything was fine and dandy.
