It seems that the boys have taken a great in terest in the organization, and the meetings have been enthusiastic. Each time a few’ new faces appear. At this rate the troop should be pret ty well filled in a short time. Several weeks ago a business meet ing was called and the heads of the foHowing committees were elected: Dr. Green, chairman of Troop Com mittee; Dr. E. L. Prizer, Personnel Commander; G. A. Pierce, .Court of Honor; E. W. Golden, Scout Master; C. Ketchum, Assistant Scout Master. To date there has been on selection of a senior patrol leader. The troop has been divided into two patrols. The Wolf and The Fly ing Eagle. Each patrol consists of eight members at the present time, at the head of which is a patrol lead er elected by his particular patrol. The duties of the patrol leaders are to keep order in the patrol and to avoid any confusion that may arise. After the troop was organized, the boys held a general election for troops officers, treasurer and scribe. Joe O'Callaghan was elected treasurer and Charles Patch, Jr., elected scribe. The local scouts have a fine house for their meetings and other activi ties, at Ashe street and Connecticut avenue. The troop is “in the clear on fi nances, having money in the bank, and is off to a good start. Once a month the Court of Honor convenes to determine whether a scout has piassed his examination for second class or first class scout or whether he is eligible for one of the hundred merit badges. Many of the boys are without any scout experience at all and these boys are being instructed each meet ing in order that they may soon be come full fledged scouts. The meetings are held every Fri day night at 7:30 o’clock. Guests are invited i;to attend.
