Denny pre siding in the unavoidable absence of President Wesley Viall. The tntire community had been in vited to the meeting by public an nouncement to hear a resume of the major problems taken up by the Chamber the past autumn and win ter ,and to offer suggfstions for the summer program. These activities and co-operation of the Chamber of Com merce in the adjustment of many community problems were apprecia tively received. A letter from the North Carolina I State Board of Health was read stat- I ing that the appropriation for saai- ' tary inspection was inadequate the ! past year, but expressing the hope that they would b? able to make necessary inspection in the near fu ture. The letter also stated that the society had voted to meet in Pinehurst next year, the first time in the history of the organization that it has met twice in the same place, Indicating the members were pleased in every way.
