HOW THE PLAN WORKS
The Moore County Hospital has be
come affiliated \\'ith the newly or
ganized Hospital Saving Association
of the state to the extent that It will
accept association patients at the as
sociation rates. The association Is
now engaged throughout the state in
enlisting the support of members,
mostly through manufacturing plants,
and its program is well along.
The Hospital Saving Association of
North Carolina, Inc.) is a new, non
profit association which will provide
all essential hospital care for its mem
bers. The association is not an in. ^
surance company. Any group of era-1

with the association, he will be
given a credit of $3 a day on his

A member receives:
Bed and board in a ward.
General nursing care.
Use of operating room.
Use of the delivery room( in com'
plicated maternity cases).
Ordinary medication and dressings.
Anesthesia (when administered by
a salaried employee of the hospital).
Laboratory examinations.
A credit of $3.00 per day toward the
price of a private room if the mem
ber prefers a private room.
All other customary routine hospit
al care.
A member pays;
For individual adults: Weekly,
$0.15; Monthly, $0.60; Quarterly, «■ .o I ^

For the entire family, (including
parents and all children living in the

Henry Clay, bom in Virginia in
1777, was the greatest orator the
Southwest ever possessed. He waa
known as the “peacemaker” after
he succeeded in persuading Con
gress to make the famous Missouri
compromise of 1820 which satis
fied both the North and South in
its decision regarding the Missouri
territory.

ditions from now on.
The Kiwanis Club of AJwrdeen met
on Wednesday of this week in the
parlor of the Church of Wide Fel
lowship and transacted routine bus
