Astor Brown, white of Hemp, was
severely cut about the head and arm
late Saturday night, and Claud Rit
ter and Zebron Cassidy, also of Hemp
section, are out on bond awaiting trial
in connecti n with the assault which
is said to have occurred in the north
ern s ction of Carthage near the
Sandhill Manufacturing Company’s
plant. The men were drinking, it is
repotted.
Dr. Felton put the necessary stit
ches in Brown’s head, 'out sent him
to the hospital to have the bad gash
in his arm tieated. B:own was releas
ed from the hospital on M nday.
