Alex Innes, who has been ill at his home here bince Sunday^ is mak ing satisfactory recovery. Mr. Innes suffered a slight stroke at the Coun try Club Sunday morning. Miss Palmer of Raleigh spent the week-end here with her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Eric Nelson. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Gilliland and family visited Mrs. Giggilands par ents, Mr. and Mrs. B. A. Byrd at their home in Broadway over the week-end. Miss Allie Craven has returned from Manchester, Vt. and is opening the Kitty Dayle Knitting Sbop which she has bought and will operate un der the former name. Graig, librarian I of the Pinehurst Library, opened for the regular winter schedule on Thursday of last week, the hours being 10:00 to 1:00 mornings and 2:00 to 5:00 afternoons everyday ex cept Sunday. Miss Thelma Bliss of Farmville was called home on account of the illness and death of her grandmoth er, Mrs. E. C. Bliss. Eva Fitzgerald and Dolores John son entertained at dinner Saturday night at the Carolina with Catherine Sledge, Kay Chandler and Bobby Vail as guests. H. L.
