The Rev. and Mrs. Frank Blue of Burlington were Carthage visitors last week. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Lane, and dau ghter Alicia visited Mrs. Herbert Jackson this week. Robert Sheffield, Jr., of Winston. Salem spent the week-end with his parents in Carthage. Little O. D. Wallace, Jr., is at home after having a needle removed from his foot at the Moore County Hospi tal. Mr, and Mrs. Quenton Reynolds vis ited friends in Sanford Sunday. Miss Dorothy Cole of Raleigh spent the week-end at home. Hoover Carter left Monday for Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where he will visit relatives. Mr. and Mr.s. E. C. Hines and Mrs. L. R. Sugg of Sanford visited friends in Carthage Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Gainey of Parkton spent Sunday with Mrs. F. S. Cole. Mrs- W. E. Evans of Rowland is visiting Misses Mary and Bess Stuart. Mrs. Lillie McPhail and Miss Eliz abeth McPhail of Washington, D. C., mother and sister of Mrs. John Cur rie, are spending some time with Mrs. Currie. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Kennedy and Mrs. Alice Thomas of Raleigh spent last week-end with their sister, Mrs. A. T. Lewis. Mrs. C. T. Henson and Mrs. R. L. Felton spent Friday in Greensboro. Mr and Mrs. William Clark, who has been on the Carthage tobacco market left Sunday for Farmville, Va. Mr. and Mrs. William Carter of Lynchburg, Va„ spent the week-end in Carthage. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Carter, and daughter, Margaret Neal Carter left Monday for Miami, Florida. Mrs. O. D. Wallace, Mrs. N. A. Mc- Keithen, Mrs. John Currie, Misses An nie and Frances McKeithen spent Saturday in Raleigh. Miss Agnes Evans of Rowland vis ited relatives here over the week-end. Mrs. Alice Watson of Oxford was a Carthage visitor Monday. Mrs. Edgar Jenkins is with her mother in Laurinburg. Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Baraes and Miss Catherine Shields spent Sunday in Winston-Salem. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Moore of Thomasville visited Mr. and Mrs. O. C. L. on B. Welch this week. Mesdames O. D. Wallace, B. Wallace, L. C. Wallace, and R. Yow were Fayetteville visitors Tuesday. Miss Alice Phillips of Luniberton is with her sister, Mrs. T. C. Stone. Mrs. Malcolm B. Kiser, princi pal of the Farm Life School of Carthage Route 3. Only a small cir cle of close relatives and intimate friends witnessed the ceremony. The R^v. W. J. Roach, pastor of the bride, officiated and Mrs. C. C. Carpenter of Gastonia presided at the piano. Roscoe Myrick of Carthage and Miss Bernice Blue of Eureke were married on November 28 at the Manse of Buffalo Presbyterian Church near Sanford by the Rev. C. N Morrison. Mrs. Kiser is a daughter of Mrs- Ada Cox and received her education in Gastonia High School and Ashe ville Normal College. She is a charm ing and popular girl and is admired by a wide circle of friends. Mr. Kiser is a son of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Kiser of Bessemer City. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina and has for the past sev eral years been principal of the Farm- Life School- Mr. and Mrs. Kiser left immediately after the ceremony for a bridal trip after which they will be at home in the Farm Life School com munity.
