Temple was hostess to the Methodist Auxiliary on Tuesday evening, at which time a program of unusualy interest was presented by Mrs. H. A. Borst and Mrs, W. H. Keith. Mrs. W. J. Cameron read the Scripture lesson and Mrs. T. F. Cam eron conducted the Bible study A delightful social hour followed, dur ing which several contests were en- jjoyed. Mrs. Temple was assisted by Mrs. C. L. Tyson and Mrs. Borst in serving refreshments. . Little Duncan McGil., Jr., who was quite sick for a few days with pneu monia, is feeling much better. Mr. and Mrs. G. S. Callahan and Ernest Dellinger, all of High Point, visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Callahan during the holidays. Mrs. W. C. Byrd and children, Mary Lou and Keith, and Eugene Keith of Albemarle are spending the week with Mrs. J. A. Keith. Mr. Byrd was here for Christmas day. Mr, and Mrs L. L. McLean of Orangeburg, S. C., Mr. and Mrs. J. D. McLean of Cameron and Miss Margaret McLean, a student at W. C. U. N. C., Greensboro, were holi day guests of Mr. and Mrs. N. N. McLean. N. M. Smith of Jacksonville visit ed relatives here from Friday until Monday. Mi*, and Mi<s. Blair Beasley of Asheville, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Beasley of Hobgood, Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Beasley and baby of Raleigh, Edward Cain of White Oak and Miss Exie Beasley of Candor were holiday guests of Misses Mary and Katrina Beasley and R. P. Beasley. Sergeant and Mrs. James Boylan and son, Dick, of Fort Bragg visited Paul Gschwind Thursday. Miss Helen Klingenschmidt and Charles Gschwind spent Christmas day with friends in Mullens, S. C. Mr. and Mrs. C. P. McMillan spent Christmas and the week-end with Mrs. Hattie McMillan in Selma. The Epworth League enjoyed a so cial on Wednesday evening of last week and each member received a gift from ;a Christmas tree. The children of the Presbyterian church gave a short program on Thursday evening and afterwards were presented gifts from a tree by Santa Claus. Mrs. T. F. Cameron visited rela tives at Chapel Hill, Littleton and Warrenton during the holidays, Mr. and Mrs. G. W, Griffin had all of their children, EOv\ard, Rich ard, Bryce and Ray, at home dur ing the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. J. M, Tyson, C. L. Tyson and Miss Marie Tyson were dinner guests of Mr and Mrs. L. C. Wallace in Carthage on Friday. Mr. and Mrs, A. M. Cameron and children, Miss Marian and A, Mac, spent Christmas and the remainder of the week with Mrs. Cameron’s parents. Dr. and Mrs. J. F. McKay at Buie’s Creek. Mrs, A. G, Edwards and sons, Wilbur, Max and Baxter, spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Bundy in Raleigh. Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Borst and H. A. Borst, Jr., were guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Parker, in Cameron on Christmas day. Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Inge and sons, Donald, of Hamlet and Norris Cox of Broadway visited Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Cox Saturday. Robert Leslie of Rocjtingham vis ited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Leslie, on Christmas day. Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Tyson and daughter, Marie, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Tyson and Mrs, A. G. Crissman call ed at the W. A. McLeod home at White Hill Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Bailey and children, Joyce and Edna Lou, and Mrs. Cathei^ine Shaw of Southern Pines visited Mrs, W. J. Cameron Friday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Graham and daughter of Ruffin, S. C., spent the holiday season with relative sin and near Vass, Mr, and Mrs. P, A. Smith and family of Raleigh ppent the holi days with relatives here. Mr. and Mrs, Earnest Toby of Mrs, S. J. Stutts and son James of Granite Quarrery spent the hol idays with the Rev, and Mrs. J, A. Wood. Miss Ruth Wood of Brooklyn spent the week-end with relatives in Niigara, Mr. and Mrs. B. J, Garner and children visited relatives in Car thage during the Christmas hoidays. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Frank had guest from Pinebluff on Monday. The Christmas tree at the Village Church was a pleasant occasion for all present. There were presents for all the children and in addtiinobm all the children and in addition a play was presented, "The Ca/thed- ral Clock, which was acted out to perfection by the following: the Rev.
