haustive research and many months
in production, William Shakespeare’s
immortal love story. “Romeo and Ju
liet” has been brought to the screen
by Irving Thalberg, Merto-Goldwyn
Mayer producer. Directed by George
Cukor, who made ‘David Cooper-
field,” the stellar cast of the pic
ture is headed by NoFma Shearer as
Juliet, Leslie Howard as Romeo, John
Barrymiire as Mercutio, Edna May
Oliver as the nurse, and Basil Rath-
bone, C. Aubrey Smith, Andy Devine,
ViVolet Kemble Cooper, Reginald

O. Taylor of the Duke Cniversity
School of Relig4on. Mr. Taylor is
director of the Christian Education
