Six teen days of the month were all clear, ten partly cloudy, five cloudy, and five with more or less/rainfall. The highest temperature, 90 degrees, came on the 7th, and the lowest, 29, on the 15th. The month was decidedly colder than usua^, the average temperature for the month registering nearly six degrees less than the long time nor mal, and a full nine degree les than the previous October. NOTRE DAME STUDENTS PRESENT KNTERTAINMENT On Tuesday morning at 10:00 o’clock the student body of Notre Dame d’Namur in Southern Pines gathered in the beautiful new scho<d auditorium building and presented a program of entertainment as a fare well gesture to the Rt Rev. Willian J. Hafey, D. D., Retiring BisSiop of Raleigh and Co-Adjutor Bishop- saect of Scranton, Pa., who left that day for his new diocese.
