Freeman was hostess to the members of the Walter Hines Page Book Club at her home last Thui’sday afternoon, when the annual business meeting and election of of ficers was held, with the same of ficers, Mrs. E. M. Harris, president; Mrs. C. M, Wilson, vice-presiaent; Mrs. E. M, Medlin, secretary, and Mrs. W, E. Freeman, treasurer, be ing unanimously re-elected. The sub ject of the afternoon’s study was "Columnists of Our Era” with Mrs. Forrest' Lockey giving a paper on “Arthur Brisbane,” Mrs. S. E. Sloan, a paper on Walter Winchell and Mrs. C. V. Miller a paper on Dorothy Thompson. The Valentine motif was carried out in the decorations and refreshments served at the close of the meeting. School Glee Club. After an enjoyable hour at cards Miss Edna Maurer was presented with the high score prize for the ladies, Jack Smith liigh score prize for the men, and Scott Russell the consolation. Hl-Y Boys Program The Hi-Y Club of Aberdeen High School will be in charge of the pro gram this Sunday morning at 11:00 o’clock at the FYesbjrterian church. The topic will be "What Does it Mean to Be a Christian From the Youth’a Standpoint.” Every Hi-Y member wUl have an active part in the program. Speakers will be W. H. J Chester was hostess to the Home and Garden Club last Tues day afternoon, at which time plans were made for a Kiwanis luncheon this club intends to give soon. An in teresting Flower Garden program was given, with Mrs. H. W. Doub reading a paper on "Eight Famous Gardens,” and Mrs. A. L. Burney a paper on "Balancing the Plant Diet.” A Garden Romance was greatly en joyed by those present with Mrs. H. E, Bowman winning tho prize. Dr. Alice E.
