9^ Six THE PILOT, Southern Pines and Aberdeen, North Carolina Friday, October 14, 1D38. FOR / LEGISLATURE WLCLEIMi We Oppose Mr. Clegg Because According to the Records Mr. Clegg has not paid any tax to Moore County in over seventeen years. He has not helped support the people he now wants to support him. He should not ask tax payers to support one who has paid no tax. If every citizen had the same attitude, no officer of the County would receive his pay; no school teacher her pay; County or State Government could not exist. In all fairness and justice Mr. Clegg should not ask any citizen of this County for support. and NR. SEAWELL We Support Nr. Seawell Because He is sober, industrious and pro gressive. He has supported with mon ey and influence every progressive move made in Moore County, regard less of politics. No man is more famil iar with conditions in the resort sec tion of Moore County and no man is better equipped to support the State program along this line. He has com mon sense enough to know that there are usually two sides to every ques tion, and common sense enough to know how to represent the County as a whole. If elected he will be of great influence for Moore County because he is liked and respected by politi cians of all sides and from the Gov ernor down. A lot of Democrats are going to vote for Seawell and will tell you so; a lot are going to vote for him and say nothing about it. In justice and fairness to yourself and County you ought to do the same. Seawell Campaign Committee B. C. WALLACE Chairman R. B. REYNOLDS, Secretary
