The cards depict North Carolina scenes and are attractively gotten up. Mrs. Buster Doyle entertained at two tables of bridge on Saturday evening honoring the birthday of her sister, Mrs. Earl Merrill. Miss Esther Carter received the prize awarded for high score. Those playing were Mrs. Merrill, Mrs. Emmet Golden, Mr?. James Hobbs, Mrs. Marvin Ray, Mrs. Ed Fields, Katherine Buchan and Pauline Holmes. Mrs. Mattie Dillehay and son, Har old, atended he funeral of Benjamin JasTiock in Graham las Saturday. Mrs. Earl Merrill will be hostess to the Evening Club of the Willing Workers of the Baptist Church on Monday evening, November 14th at 8:00 o’clock. This club was organized for those persons who were unable to attend the afternoon meetings. All members are urged to be present on this occasion as a name for the club will be selected.
