Odom To Tell About Farm Security Loans Moore Cbanty Supervisor Will Hold Meeting' in Courthouse Next Tuesday Afternoon At' this season of the year the fhrm Security Administration of fices are flooded with applications for loans. It is the desire of these offices to help as many families as wish this service and at the same lime qualify for help through the Farm Security Administration. The Farm Security Administration ♦ffices are set up to handle four district phases of work, namely: U) Farm Debt Adjustment: —Tbia deals with getting the debtor and icreditor together wh^en the debtor is in financial distress. (2) Tenant Purchase Loans— This loan has been made possible through the Bankhead-Jones Farm Tenant Act of Congress. Th's pro vides for the lending of money to farm people for the buying of farms. Moore county is not a designated TP county this year. (S) Community Service Loans— This provides for group borrowing for machinery or livestock which is too expensive and used too little for the individual farmers to invest in. <4) Rural Rehabilitation Loans— This deals with the Farm and Home Supervisor planning with the far- «ier and his wife, and lending for the purchase of livestock, tools, and farming equipment. County Supervisor Edward G. Odom advises that there will be a meeting in the Moore county court- liousp at 2:00 p. m., Tuesday, Jan uary 10. This meeting is for the purpose of explaining the work of the Farm Security Administratoin and for the 1939 planning. The pub lic is invited to attend this meeting and all borrowers and prospective borrowers are urged to be present.
