W. M. U. Elects Officers
The W, M. U. of the Vasa Baptist
Church met Friday evening at the
home of Mrs. M. L. Stevenson. Mrs.
G. W. Broos, the program leader,
was assisted in presenting a foreign
mission program by Mrs. W. V. Nix,
Mrs. R. L. King, Mrs. M. B. Clay
ton, Mrs. Clayton Evans and Mrs.
Thurlow EJvans.
The annual election of officers
was held, resulting as follows; Pres
ident, Mrs. Nix; vice-president, Mrs.
Stevenson; secretary-treasurer, Mrs.
J. B. Parker; assistant secretary-
treasurer, Mrs. F. L. Taylor.
A nice collection of clothing and
bed linens was brought in for the
Mills Home at Thomasvllle.
Refreshments were served by the
hostess, and Mrs. King invited the
group to meet with her in Decem
ber.

tennial prize poem, wrote much oth.
