LOCAL ALL.STAKS WIN TWO ,\T B.\SKF.TB.\I.L The local All-Stars basgetball team won over the Pinehurst Outlook five last Monday night by a score of 29 to 19. The Southern Pines team put on a last half scoring spree to go out in front with 29 points before the { end of the game. Dawson with 11 j points was high scorer. On Tuesday night the local All. Stars won over the Carthage Jay- Cees by a score of ly to 11. It was a thrilling contest from start to fin- i.sh. A. Pnte was leading scorer with 9 points. I With the Street Show scheduled to take place in Southern Pines to morrow, Saturday moming^ the Boy Scouts of Moore county will end their county.wide celebration of the 30th anniversary of the founding of the movement in the nation. During the past week each Troop in the county has had some .special troop ceremony to honor the National Scout birthday and they all partici pated in the county Court of Awards in Aberdeen on Fiiday last. Each troop has been invited to participate in a contest by placing displays in store windov%'s in its own community. There are six such displays, Car. thage. Hemp, Pinehurst, Vass and two in Southem Pines.
