A, Prit chard of Biscoe, mother of Mrs. Terry and Mrs. Bost, is a patient in the Moore County Hospital. Mrs. Rosser Jones of Aberdeen is spending some time with her si.ster, Mrs. David G. Coffey. Shirley White was the winner of the spelling contest held in the pub lic school last week and she with her teacher, Miss Betsy Tillman, will go to Winston-Salem Saturday where she wil compete in the State spelling matches. Miss Daphine Whitney of Hyannis, Mass., and Pete Otis of New Bedford. Ma.ss.^ are guests of Mrs. Isabel Cabot Mt Mullen. Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Tate have re turned from Charleston, S. C., where they attended the horse sV.ow. Mrs. Eugene McKenzie was host ess to the Afternoon Circle Tuesday at her home, and the night circle met with Mrs. P. K. Allen. Tommy Jacobs of Portland, Me., is spending the spring vacation with his grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. M. W. Marr. Tommy is a student at the Fessenden School. West Newton, Mass. George F.
