NOTICE
Notice i.s hereby given that the Board of Elections
of Moore County, North Carolina, in regular meeting
on the 23 da.v of 3Iarch, 1940, ordered a full new regis
tration of voters in iloore County, and pursuant to said
order and as by law provided, notice is hereby given that
the registration books of Moore County wil be open at
the usual places in Moore County for a period beginning
on the 27th day of April, 1940, and ending on the 11th
day of May, 1940, and that during said time all persons
who are otherwise qualified and who expect to vote in
the primary to be held on May 25, 1940, are required
to cause themselves to be duly registered by the Reg
istrar of their respective voting precinct.
Notice is further given that the Spies Precinct vot
ing place will hereafter, be at the Community Building
instead of the Public School Building
Notice is further given that the Precinct line be
tween Spencerville and Hemp, by order of the Board
of Elections, has been altered and changed so that the
.said line hereafter will be as follows; Beginning at
Howard’s Mill Bridge on Deep River running thence
along Howard’s Mill Bridge Road to Curtis Gainer’s
Fillling Station on Highway No. 705, running thence in
a straight line toward Haywood Morgan’s place to the
Spies Precinct Line, thence with the Spies Precinct line
to the line of the VVestnioore School District line; thence
with said line to the beginning, not Including the Spies
Voting Precinct.
This alteration has the affect of adding more terri
tory to the Spencerville Precinct. And all persons with
in the boundary afore.said are required to register and
vote in the Spencerville Precinct. The voting place in
said precinct hereafter, by order of the Board of Elec
tions, will be held and conducted at the Westmoore
School Building.
