Garvin and Miss Florence Garvin arrived on Friday from East Providence, R. I., and have taken an apartment at the Home stead for the winter months. "Bob” Beck and "Billy" Wilson re turned Sunday from Bethlehem, N. H., where they were employed dur ing the summer. The Junior Willing Workers will meet Monday evening October 7th, with Mrs. H. J. Menzel on North May street. The regular meeting of the Wo man's Society of the Church of Wide Fellowship will be held in the church parlor on W'ednesday, October 9th at 3:30 p. m. Mi.ss Louise Bevins of Sanatorium has accepted a position with the Car olina Beauty Shop. Mr. and Mrs. Garfield Wilson an nounce the arrival of a son on Sat- utday, September 28th. Lawrence B. Smith of Millbrook, N. ’ Y., spent two days in town this week nrrahging for the opening of his home on Morganton Road immediate ly after election. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Bomeisler of Greenwich, Conn.. who acquired “the Hieh Hotise" estate adjoining that of Hugh Sicard on Youngs Road la.st Spring, are spending several days in town. The hou.se has been ccmpiete- reniodeled and renovated for a winter residence and Mr. and Mrs. Bomeis ler plan to spend considerable time here during the season. Mrs. H. B.
