Howard Crum a noted plas tic surgeon of New York City was 9. recent guest at Ihe Jefferson Inn. Mrs. A. Burt Hunt returned Sun day after spending a week in New York City. Mrs. John R. Drexel and Mrs. George Pulver of Washington, D. C. left on Monday for Miami. Fla., where they plan to spend the next week or ten days. John G. Erhaiilt spent the past ten days in Washington, D. C.,» on busi ness. Mrs. Frank Shamburger and Mrs. P. P. McCain will be joint hostesses to the members of the Alfred Moore Chapter of the D. A. R., on Tuesday, February 11th at the Hollywood Ho tel at 2:30 p. m. All visiting dau ghters are extended a cordial invita tion. Lieut W. B. Salley who has been stationed at Fort Knox spent the past week as the guest of Mr. and Mrs. O. L. Broom. Lieut. Salley is enfoute to Fort Benning, Ga., where he has been transferred. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Davis of Ashe- boro spent the week-end as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Miner and Mr. and Mrs. O. L. Broom. Mrs. R. D. Cates of Raleigh, who has been spending the past ten days visiting her sister. Miss Lillian Rob erts returned to her home in Raleigh on Tuesday. Mrs. L. L. Wooley and Mrs. Henry Dorn spent Tuesday in Raleigh. There will be a business and social covered dish supper on Thursday night at the Baptist Church, bsginnm' at 6:30 o’clock.
