O’Callaghan of the 252nd Coast Artillery has just received his honorable discharge from the U. S. Army after serving fcr 12 months and 16 days and is now again in Southern Pines, associated with his father, L. V. O'Callaghan. Mr. and Mrs. George Hyde Bour- quart of Mendham, N. J., are spend ing several weeks at the New Eng land House enroute to Daytona, Fla They are enjoying the good golf courses in this vicinity. Major Ray Perkins—known to screen and radio fans as just "Ray Perkins"—was not only a guest but an impromptu entertainer with sev eral piano selections. Among those most impressed bv the Major, now with First Army^leadquarters, was little Betsy Coxe, daughter of Capt. and Mrs. Henry B. Coxe, Jr., of Penlyn, Pa. Among guests also were Major and Mrs. Jay Cooke of Philadelphia, the Major having been chairman of the Philadelphia Republican Commit tee before joining the 11th infantry of the 28th division.
