Thomas, and Tommie Wicker of Sanford were married in South Carolina on Sun day, June 28. They are residing in Sanford. Mrs. M. B. Willis and daughter. Sue, and Mrs. Robert Waddell and baby, Carolyn, spent from Tue.sday until Friday in Hamlet with Mrs. G. C. Inge and Mrs. James Waddell. Wicker-Stutls Miss Emma Lee Stutts, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Stutts of Vass, and PFC Clifton Wicker, for merly of Sanford but now in camp at Fredericksburg, Va., were united in marriage at Bennettsville, S. C., on July 4. They were accompanied by the bride’s brother-in-law and sister, Sgt. and Mrs. Charles Beal. Mrs. Wicker will continue to reside with her parents for the present. Work Shop Open W. E. Gladstone, local agriculture teacher, announces that the agricul ture workship located in the old Pi lot building will be open on Monday and Wednesday nights for the bene fit of those in the community who wish to use the woi kshop tools in repairing farm equipment.
