The last trace which officers have of McLeod is that he left Fred Ar nett’s house on the old Pinehurst- Southern Pines road late Sunday evening, headed for his home in West Southern Pines! He has not since been seen. A search of the woods in that section failed to lend any clue to his whereabouts. As far as is known, McLeod had no money on his person. Officers said that ev idence indicated he had been drink ing during the day. The missing, man is five feet, 10 inches tall, weighs 152 pounds, is 54 years of age and has gray hair. He was clad in tan shoes, dark trousers, brown woolen shirt and dark grey Ilat. Anyone knowing information about him is asked to get in touch with Sheriff C. J. Mc Donald or Chief C. E. Newton.
