Visitation Evangelism A visiting evangelism cam- {paign was carried on three nights Hast week in the Aberdeen, Pine- bluff and Vass Methodist churches with several pastors and laymen visiting in homes in the three towns. The group met for supper and an instruction period in Pinebluff Monday evening, in Aberdeen Tuesday, and in Vass Wednesday, with members of the women’s societies serving as host esses. More than fifty persons de cided to become followers of Christ, or to move their church membership to their present place of residence. The Vass Methodist Church will be open for the reception of members at the 11:00 o’clock ser vice on June 2, and a number have signified their intention of joining. One whole family of sev en is to be received at that time Joins Church Group Following the Presbyterian church service Sunday night congregational meeting was held, at which the church decided to join the Cameron-Union group of churches. While the Veterans Housing Program places restrictions on the construction of buildings that cost more than $1,000 and on dwellings that cost over $4,000, the purpose of this, points out Joe A. Caddell, Chairman, Moore County AAA Commission, is to get low-cost living units built for veterans as fast as possible. “Applications for the construc tion of all farm buildings in County should be filed at the local AAA office,’’. Mr. Caddell said, “and the final approval of the applications rest with the State AAA Committee in Ra leigh.” “Data such as materials need ed, total cost of all new mater ials, labor costs, and the neces sity for the building will be re quested,” Mr. Caddell explained, The AAA , chairman pointed out that approval of the propos ed construction will be based on whether it is essential to increas ing or maintaining production of food on the farm;whether pres ent facilities on the farm are be ing utilized to maximum cap acity; and whether the proposed construction will be fully utilized upon completion. A copy of the approved appli cation will be returned to the ap plicant accompanied by a placard to be posted on the construction i site. In the case of farm dwell ings, priority ratings for the pur chase of needed materials may also be issued by the State AAA Committee. George McDermott, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. M. McDer mott, arrived Saturday night from Yokosuka, Japan. In for eign service nine months, George had been in Japan since Septem ber. He was impressed with the extreme politeness of the Japan ese, and spoke of their surprise that our occupation forces did not treat them as they, themselves, had been treating others.
