SANFORD Mrs. Harold McDonald and her two sons who have been living in the Walker apartments for the past year and a half, left Tues day evening for a short visit with Ml'S. McDonald’s parents in Mill- heim. Pa. From there they will go to San Francisco where they will sail on July 6 for Japan to join ,Lt. Harold McDonald. The lieutenant was formerly station ed at Camp Mackall. Mrs. Helen Shea left Thursday of last week to spend the summer in Bethlehem, N. H. She will visit Mr. and'Mrs. Robert Jellison and Mrs. Mary Clark, Mrs. Maxwell Grey and her son and daughter-in-law. Dr. and Mrs. Ross Grey, of Fort Collins, Col., have returned from a two Weeks’ stay in New York City. The Ross Greys will remain in Southern Pines for a Visit until July 14 when they will return to Colorado by plane. Dr. Grey is associated with the Veterinary- Hospital at State College in Fort Collins. Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Poe are spending the week in Morehead Ctiy at the home of Mrs. Poe’s mother. Mrs. Hugh Betterley left Sat urday for Boston where she will visit her daughter. Miss Barbara Betterley, for the remainder of the summer. Guests at the home of Mrs. Heizmann Mudgett, Ashe Street, are her dalughter, Mrs. Henry Dingley, who flew -down in her plane from' Auburn, Maine, Thrtrsday, her son. William C. Mudgett of Reading, Pa., and Miss Carolyn Viers of Rockville, Md., who arrived today, Friday. Miss Marietta Vanderveer has returned from a recent trip to Jamaica, L. I.
