SUMMER PROGRAM
Continued from Page 1)
David Bailey, Joe Smith, Roy
Newton, John Watkins, Johnny
Lawrence, David Page, Billy Cox
and Edgar Smith.
Attendance and interest in the
program remain higlj, in fact, they
■appear to increase hs the summer
goes on, and all are finding plenty
to do.
Though the schedule set up last
month is adhered to in general, I
the desire of the group is follow
ed and baseball or softball prac
tice often turns out to be'a swim
ming party or horseshoe pitching
session instead.
Horseshoes, tennis, badminton
and pingpong are consistent fav
orites, and any day the boys and
girls may be seen at play in the
park, at the Civic center and at
the Men’s club, enjoying not only
the games themselves but the
pleasure of being together
through the long Summer days.
The directors have arranged
theif- schedule so that one or the
other is always on duty in the
park or at the Men’s Club head
quarters during the program
hours, ,10 a. m. to 12 noOn and 2
to 5 D. m.

Miss Simpson graduated May 28

a trained nurse “some day.”
The scholarship will help her
attain her dream.
Miss Mclnnis, a 1947 graduate
