Paul Williams, haled into court for violation of the conditions of a suspended judgment, was sent to the roads to serve a 12 months’ sentence imposed last August for larceny. Planting Program Gets Underway The Vass-Lakeview school and the Vass Woman’s club are co operating in a beautification pro gram at the school, in the plan- ling stage for the past few nonths, the program this week legan to take shape as F. M Jwight’s Nursery began the ac tual basic planting. A landscape plan drawn up some time ago by John Harris of Raleigh is being foUowed. World Day of Prayer World Day of Prayer wiU be observed with a program at 3:30 p. m. today (Friday) at the Pres byterian church, with other churches joining in. Mrs. Dehnas Kimball, Spiritual Life leader in the women’s organization of the hostess church, will lead the pro gram. Basketball Game and Square Dance The last home games of the sea son will be played in the school gymnasium here tonight (Friday) when the local basketball teams clash with the West End boys and girls.
