Let us be truly grateful
Tliat we live in a country
Where we worship as we desire.
May we be ever thankful
That Christmas in America is observed
With genuine love
And understanding for our fellowman.

HOW FAR?
How far is it to Bethlehem?
Not very far.
Shall we find the stable room
Lit by a star?
Can we see the little Child,
Is He within?
If we lift the wooden latch.
May we go in?
May we stroke the creatures there.
Ass, ox, or sheep?
May we peep, like them, and see
Jesus asleep?
If we touch His tiny hand
Will He awake?
Will He know we’ve come so far
Just for His sake?
Great Kings have precious gifts.
And we have nought.
Little smiles and little tears
Are all we brought.
For all weary children
Mary must weep.
Here on His bed of straw.
Sleep, children, sleep.
God in His Mother’s arms.
Babes in the byre,
Sleep, as they sleep who find
Their heart’s desire.
—Frances Chesterton.

IT'S IN THE BOOK!
Does craishing railroad
warning signals mean Ihe
sanLe as crashing red lights
in town?
Indeed it does. The Motor Ve
hicle Manual says that when a
railroad grade crossing is protect
ed by a clearly visible warning
signal it shall be unlawful for a
driver to fail to bring his car to
a stop before crossing. And rail
road-crossing accidents involving
motor vehicles are nearly always
fatal, records of the Department
of Motor Vehicles show.
Since the end of World War II,
nearly a billion people iii the
world have attained national tn-
dependence, but there still were
some 200 million who had not yet
achieved full self-government.
Iron rust can be removed by
soaking the stain in lemon juice,
sprinkling it generously with salt;
then exposing it to the oun.

and followed it to a
rich and wonderful
reward.
Again it is Christmas
.. ... a time to find new
faith and new hope in
the true spirit of the
occasion. May your
Christmas be rich in
joy and happiness
... a season of much
joy.
