Spellis- sy entertained at a joint “fare well” party for about 30 young friends of their children, Amy and Arthur, on Wednesday of last week. Hobo Day Saturday is “Hobo Day”, so styled by members of the Sopho more and Junior Classes of the Pinehurst High School who are hiring themselves out lor odd jobs such as mowing lawns, cleaning up yards, washing cars and win dows, and baby sitting all that day in order to swell next year’s treasury so that the upcoming Juniors and Seniors may make a trip to New York City. Blodgett leave Saturday for Chautauqua, N. Y., where they will spend the summer. Mrs. Estel Miner, who has been spending two months with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Miner, left Monday by plane from Fayetteville for her home in St. Louis, Mo. Mrs. Francis X. Anglin left this week for NeW York City and the Lake Placid Club, Lake Placid, N. Y., where she will spend the sum mer. Faust Risley, who has been spending several months here with his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Keith Wed lock, left Saturday by train for his home in Huntington, L. I. Mrs. Henry M. Dingley, Jr., of Auburn, Me., is flying her Cessna from Canada to Cuba in an Inter national Air Race which began Wednesday and which includes 27 planes privately-owned and pilot ed by women. Mrs. Dingley will stop off at Knollwood Airport en route home, and is planning to spend one night next week with her mother, Mrs. Heizmann Mud- gett. Mrs. Mary P. Smith arrives to day (Thursday) from Claymont, Del., for a visit with Mrs. Rebe w! Engels, on Airport Road. ^ Mrs. Harry Hoeg returns this weekend to her home in Enp wood, N.
