Methodists Will
Move Into New
Church Sunday
Moving in day at the new
Southern Pines Methodist
Church has been set for Sunday,
it was announced this week by
the Rev. Robert L. Bame, pastor.
The church, located on Mid
land Road, is practically finished
and will be officially opened Jan
uary 6. Reason for the delay,
church officials announced, is
because some of the furniture has
not arrived.
The final inspection of the
church will be held tomonrow
when the building committee,
under the general chairmanship
of Paul van Camp, and the offi
cial board, headed by J. A. Lou-
dermilk, meet jointly for a tour
of the building.
As the good news was an
nounced to the congregation,
they were also reminded that the
“mile of dollars” camipaign,
which seeks to raise funds to
complete the church, is now in
progress and will officially end
