In mahogany grained or limed oak grained finiihes..21T839 Series, ^qqqqq Surratt Resigns Hospital Job; To Move To Salisbury Effective May 10; Position Here Is Open Thomas Surratt, assistant ad ministrator of Moore Memorial Hospital, has resigned and will join the staff of Rowan Memorial Hospital in Salisbury as manager of the business office and comp troller, it has been announced by Thomas Howerton, administrator. Surratt, a native of Salisbury, will leave his duties here May 10, and go to Salisbury soon thereafter. He accepted the new position, he said this week, be cause it represented promotion and a big step forward in his car eer as a hospital official. The Rowan Hospital has 257 beds and is considered one of the outstanding institutions in the state. Surratt came here in Decem-^ her, 1955, from Chatham Hospi tal, Inc., in Siler City, where he had been assistant administrator. Prior to that he had served two and one-half years as business manager and bookkeeper at Pine- bluff Sanitarium'. While in Southern Pines he and his wife and three children lived at 240 E. Conn. Ave. He was active in the affairs of the Meth odist Church here and served as chairman of its committee on membership and evangelism. He was also active in the Jun ior Chamber of Commerce where he served as committee chairman of the Voice of Democracy Con test and performed other fimc- tions.
