14 THURSDAY, MAY 7, 1959 Summep Golf Club Has 24 Matches On Its ’Schedule Twenty four tournaments, the first to be held next week, have been planned by members of the Sandhills Summer Club, a ladies golf organization now in its fourth season. Of the tournaments, four are scheduled for May, five each for June and July, four in August, and six in September. There are 54 members in the club. Last week the members held a kickoff luncheon at the Pinehurst Country Club and followed it up with a business meeting and then a clinic featuring Dick Chapman. Officers of the club are Mrs. John W. Rettew, president; Mrs. Hugh D. Stewart, vice president; Mrs. P. J. Boatwright, Jr., sec retary; and Mrs. Duwayne D. Gadd, treasurer. Mrs. Alfred N. Derouin is chairman of the tournament com mittee, with Mrs. Stewart, Mrs. True Cheney, Mrs. Maxwell For rest and Mrs. Frank Wells serv ing as members.
