A one-car wreck on the Whis pering Pines Road, a mile and a> half beyond Niagara, at 4:35 a. m. Wednesday cost the life of one Moore County man and seriously injured another. Robert Stoman Reynolds, 19, of Carthage Route 3 died at St. Jo seph’s hospital soon after admis sion. He was married, an em ployee of Fletcher Southern near Southern Pines. His companion, Judson Key, about 40, also of Carthage Route 3, hospitalized with serious head injuries could not be questioned and State Highway Patrolman Henry A. Hight, Jr., investigating, said he could not immediately de termine who had been driving and what had caused the wreck. Hight said the car, after rounding a curve as it traveled toward Car thage, was out of control for 345 feet, going off first on the right, then the left, hitting a culvert, and oyerturning into a deep ditch from which it apparently bounced bhck out onto the highway.
