Revival Services
Revival services will begin on
Sunday evening at 7:30 at the
Methodist Chirrch and will con

morning worship service this Sun
day at the Church. The Rev. Mr.
Burns concluded the study, “The
Meaning of Suffering,” at the
Sunday school hour for the adult
classes of the Methodist Church
school. The Rev. Aaron Tyson is
conducting revival services this
week at Poplar Springs Metho-
disrt Church near Sanford.

Quarterly Conference. The Junior
and Intermediate Choirs gave an
anthem, “Q Love, How Deep, How
Broad, How High” with Vernon
Sutphin playing the clarinet and
Michael Graham the trumpet.
“Jesus, Our Love is Crucified”
was stmg as the offertory by
Brenda and Michael Graham and
Vernon and Joanne Sutphin.
Methodist Circles
The Circles of the Methodist
Women met on Monday evening
with each circle having a program
on “The Christian and Respon
sible Citizenship.” Mrs.E . L. Tart
was hostess to the Minnie Morris
Circle. Mrs. W. A. Johnson gave
the worship, and Mrs. E. L. Sut
phin had the program assisted by
Mrs Vivian Tucker, Mrs. D. D.
Richardson, and Mrs. A. J. Han-
ner.
The Margaret Brown Circle met
with Mrs Richard; VonCanon. Mrs.
J. F. Sinclair gave the worship,
and Miss Blanche Monroe had the
.programi assisted by Mrs. Von
Canon arid Mrs. Paul VonCanon.
Missionary Society
The Children’s Missionary So
ciety of the Methodist Church met
on Wednesday afternoon with
Mrs. Lynn Meinnis and Mrs. Tar-
fell Graham as leaders. Refresh

Presbyterian Church News
The Rev. George Houck is con
ducting revival services this week
at Shiloh Presbyterian Church.
The Junior Choir of the Pres
byterian Church gave an anthem,
at the Sunday morning worship
service. Mrs. George Houck was
director and organist, and Jane
Jackson was pianist.
The Women of the Presbyterian
Church observed the 50th birth
day anniversary of the organiza
tion with a program at the Church
on Sunday evening. Miss Cora
Donaldson presented! this year’s
objective, “Vocational Guidance
Centers,” assisted by Miss Treva
Auman. Mrs. R. B. Lewis presided
at the business session, and Mrs.
George Houck, on behalf of the
nominating committee, presented
the following who were elected to
serve as officers for 1962-63: vice-
president, Mrs. Tommy McNeill;
secretary, Mrs. John Thompson;
church extension, Mrs. E. R. Out-
land; general fund agency, Doro
thy Black; Christian education,
Mrs. Harold Markham.
A special hour was held in the
church parlor. The lace-covered
serving table was centered with
a decorated birthday cake and an
arrangement of spring flowers.
Mrs. R. B. Lewis presided at the
punch bowl and Mrs. W. E. Jack-
son served the cakes. Also assist
ing with the serving were Mrs.
Roy C^ter and Mrs. Leslie Gor
don. Special guests for the meet
ing were Mrs. Gordon Cameron,
chairman of District VI of the
Presbytery Church Women, and
Mrsi. Floyd Medlin, both of Pine-
hurst.
The Circles of the Presbyterian
Women met on Monday evening
with each circle having a program
“Higher Education in the
Presbyterian Church,” and a
Bible study on the Book of JEimes.
Mrs. Harold Markham was host
ess to her circle; Mrs. Tommy Mc
Neill gave the program, and Mrs.
Markham had the Bible study.
Mrs. North Lewis was hostess
to her circle. Mrs. Z. B. Conrad
gave the program, and Miss Ne-
olia McCrummen had the Bible
study.
Circle II met with Mrs. Velma
Currie with Mrs. John H. McCas-
kill having the Bible study, and
Miss Treva Auman presenting the
program.

Mrs. Edward Tucker with Carol
arrived last week for a visit with
the North Lewis family. Spend
ing the weekend at their Ocean
Drive Beach cottage Weis the
Lewis family, Mrs. Tucker, Carol,
and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kry-
wokulsky. While there, they at
tended the Azalea Festivil in
Wilmington.
Attending the State Beta Club
Convention in Raleigh this week
end from the High Sthool was

School will present 'The Little
Shepherd of Kingdom Come” at
the School Auditorium at 8:00 on
Thursday evening, April 19. Mark

duction, with Miss Bert McCrum
men serving as director.

present a program to the Wom

Hspital after fracturing a pelvis
