Four Junior Golfers under 18 will he sent by each club en tering the tournament, and they will compete for the team trophy. Clubs will also send two alter nates to participate for individual honors. The top four golfers will represent the Tar Heel State in the International Junior Golf Tournair-ont in Huntington, West Virginia, sponsored by the U. S. Jaycees on August 20 through 25. An exhibition match will be played for the Jimior Golfers be tween Professionals Avery Beck of Whispering Pines Club and his son Larry Beck of Greensboro against amateurs Bill Harvey of Greensboro and Horace Ervin of Kinston. Harry Fullenwider in Southern Pines Recorder’s Court at last week’s Wednesday session. The court had not been held on the previous week because of the July 4 holiflay. Despite the many cases, there were few not guilty pleas and the court moved quickly through the docket, completing its work in a half a day. Here is a summary of cases tried: Bobby Ulysses Denning, Route 3, Raleigh, speeding 60 in 45 zone, $51.50, including fine and costs; Lester Harris, Sanford, same charge, $44.50, including fine and costs: Wallace Bright Stone, Lumberton, speeding 75 in 60 zone, defendant moved for jury trial, case transferred to Superior Court; Robert L. Stuart, assault on female, nol pros with leave on oayment of the costs; Curtistee Williams, exceeding stated speed limit, $10 and costs; Archie L. Blue, Route 2, Vass, disregarding stop light, pay costs and, in lieu of fine, at option of defendant, walk to Westbrook’s Market, be tween Southern Pines and Aber deen, and back; Comilious F. Johnston, disregarding stop sign, $10 and costs. Larry W. Thomas, Sanford, speeding 45 in 35 zone, no valid operator’s permit, disregarding stop sign, judgment as of non-suit on second of the three charges, pay costs and walk to Westbrook’s and back; William Albert Dippel, Baraboo, Wis., failure to yield; I right of way, pay costs and walk \ to Westbrook’s and back; Jerome Lee Baker, Route 1, Broadway, driving on wrong side of road when not passing, $10 and costs; Jimmy Don Perkins, Bynum, speeding 73 in 60 zone, pay costs and walk to Westbrook’s and back; Walter Lee Funderburk, speeding 70 in 55 zone, judgment continued on payment of costs; Howard Jimmy Talbert, Route 1, Aberdeen, speeding 50 in 35 zone, $15 and costs; 'Thomas Elliott Moore, speeding 75 in 55 zone, pay costs and walk to West brook’s and back. Leroy John Ashy, Fort Bragg, speeding 67 in 55 zone, $12 and costs; Bobby Eugene Butler, Aberdeen, speeding 60 in 45 zone, pay costs and walk to West brook’s and back; Jerry Wayne Bradley, speeding 45 in 35 zone, pay the costs; Steven Robert Kaplan, Hempstead, N. Y., no valid operator’s permit, speeding 65 in 55 zone, judgment as of non suit on first charge, pay costs and walk to Westbrook’s and back, on second charge; Carolyn Ann Sew ard, Laurens, S. C., speeding 45 in 35 zone, $10 and costs; Larrey Fred Seward, Laurens, S. C., speeding 45 in 35 zone, not guilty; William F. Williamson, drunken driving, two months on the roads, suspended sentence in a former case ordered executed to run con currently with the first month. Howard Harris, Route 1, West End, speeding 60 in 35 zone, drunken driving, be confined to mil until 6:30 p. m. on the day of trial, $100 fine and costs, surren der driver’s license to be revoked; Rufus Rambeaut, Raleigh, drunk en driving, one month on the roads, surrender driver’s license to he revoked; Roland Bass, pub lic drunk, $15 and costs.
