Reynolds and family were assigned to the New- land-Grace Methodist Churches in the Elizabeth City District at the annual North Carolina Con ference last week as it met in Greenville. Joyce graduated from West End High School this year where she was editor of the annual and received high scholas tic honors. She will continue her education next year at Wesleyan Methodist College in Rocky Mount. Carol finished her junior year in our school. The pastor assigned to serve the West End Methodist Church is the Rev. D. C. Boone who comes from the Norman charge. The Rev. Mr. and Mrs. Boone have four children—Danny, who has attended Louisburg College; Pa tricia, who graduated from high school last year; Mary, who will enter high school this year; and Thomas who will enter the fourth grade. Principal and Mrs. J. R. Bren- dell, Jr., with Lynn, moved to Aberdeen on Tuesday. When the progress in education is recorded in this district, J. R. Brendell should be remembered as a lead er. Probably his most outstanding contribution was in bringing the largest school district in the coun ty and one of the larger ones in the state together and leading the fight for a supplementary school tax.
