Kleingen- schmidt will be in charge of the program. All members are urged to attend Marriage Announced The marriage of Miss Myrtle Doreen Keith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey L. Keith, to Jerry Lee Tant, was solemnized at 4:00 on Saturday afternoon in the Cameron Presbyterian church. Entertains Pre-nuptial courtesy was paid Miss Doreen Keith, when Mrs. W. J. Morgan entertained at a bridesmaids’ luncheon at her home Saturday. A yellow and white color note prevailed in the decorations and appointments. Guests, in addition to the bride’s mother, Mrs. A. L. Keith, were her sister, Mrs. Clinton Peele; Mrs. R. L. Oldham, Miss Doris Taylor, Mrs. R. R. Tant, sister-in-law of the groom, of Ra leigh; Miss Melba West, Miss Glenda Tate and Miss Nancy Jo Peterson, all of Rex Nursing Home in Raleigh; Miss Peggy Lewis of Middlesex; Mrs. Isabel and Miss Ann Thomas of Cam eron and Miss Jennie Crissman of Ashley Heights. 'The honoree presented gifts to all her attend ants. Presbyterian Men Meet The Presbyterian Men of the Church met last Monday night at the church. N. N. McLean presi ded. A. L. Keith was guest of the evening and gave an interesting and informative talk on his re cent trip to Dallas, Tex. Mrs. Pete Mashburn and Mrs. Paul D. Cam eron served refreshments. Returns George (Butch) Griffin has re turned from a month’s tour with a Western Caravan “Rolling Stones” of California. Butch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Griffin, was one of the four counselors, along with the camp director, to accom pany 40 boys from the Triangle Y Ranch, Greensboro, for ,a tour of California. He was met in Greensboro Saturday afternoon by his father and brother. Tom my, and accompanied them home. He will leave Sunday for West ern Carolina Teachers College, Cullowhee, where he is a rising senior with plans to teach social science. Entertains Mrs. Edgar Marshburn enter tained her Junior Sunday School Class at a cook-out at her home Wednesday evening. The 10 members present enjoyed an eve ning of fellowship, with hot dogs, cold drinks and cup cakes. Begin Teaching Two of our young people, Miss Ann Edwards, and Jimmy Marsh- burn, left last week to assume teaching duties at their respec tive schools. Miss Edwards, daughter of Mr. c^d Mrs. A. G. Edwards, Jr., and a graduate of Pfeiffer College last spring, will be teaching an elementcxy class at Windsor Park School, Char lotte. Jimmy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Marshburn, begins a full school year as teacher-coach at EUerbe School, where he will as sume the duties he held part of last school term, after his grad uation from EC;TC, Greenville. He wiU be coach of the girls bas ketball team and assistant boys’ coach, in addition to his teach ing of two high school subjects. Personals Mr. and Mrs. Howard Deans and family had as their guests from Tuesday until ’Thursday of last week his sister, Mrs. N. A. Miller and son Ricky of High- spire, Pa. On Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Lindo Poole and daughter, Mary Ann of Biscoe, and Mrs. Mamie Humphries of Southern Pines visited with them. Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Patterson of Carthage were Sunday dinner guests of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Grif fin, and family. ’The special din ner honored her mother on her birthday. Recent visitors here with Mr. and Mrs. James Key and daugh ter, Betty Ann, were their nieces, Vickie and Diane Upchurch, daughters of Mr. and Mi-s. Avron Upchurch of Jonesboro Heights. Miss Bessie Cameron, was Mrs. Bob Perry of Wake Forest. Saturday afternoon, they atteneded the Tant-Keith wedding at the Presbyterian church in Cameron. On Sunday, she visited her mother, Mrs. W. H. Keith, at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Simpson of Winston-Salem visited his par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Edd Simpson of Route 2, Vass, and other rel atives here for the weekend. Hugh McDermott of Indian Head, Md., spent from Friday un til Monday here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. M. McDermott. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Buie and children, Pam, Marty and Tim, of Greensboro, were holiday visitors here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Rosser and family. Mr. and Mrs. H. C. The Hudsons spent from Monday until Wednesday here with her parents en route to their home from a mountain vacation. Joe Cameron of Greensboro visited relatives here over the weekend.
