THE PILOT—Southern Pines, Norct, Carolina
IN PIGGY BANKS
An estimated 10 per cent of the
small coins in this country are
held in piggy banks and other
family collections. If these funds
were deposited in a savings ac
count, they would earn interest
and be just as available when
needed. Help relieve the tempor
ary coin shortage by shifting
.your savings from your piggy
bank to a thrift account.

than 100 feet from an occupied
dwelling house or within 500 feet
of a State-protected forest area
during the hours from midnight

permit from a fire warden or his
deputy. The State and Federal
fire prevention organization is
set up to assist the public and to
help control fires, as well as to
prevent the burning of wood
lands and the destruction of tim

Burning permits may be ob
