and gone, but the spirit of love
and joy continues with the beau
ty of Christmastime expressed on
the doors and in the homes; with
the continuous bubble of excite
ment within the hearts of the
children; and with many persons
from far and near united with
their families and friends during
this joyous season celebrating the
birth of the Christ Child.
As always, the churches of
Aberdeen helped to center the
thoughts of their community on
the true meaning of Christmas.
First Baptist Church had spe
cial Christmas music on Sunday
evening before Christmas and
the annual Christmas party for
the children on Wednesday eve

Church highlighted their serv

vent Season with music especial
ly adapted for the season.
Bethesda Presbyterian Church
held its annual Joy Gift service
on Sunday afternoon before
Christmas with a lovely service
in Scripture and Song. Following
this, the entire church family
gathered in the Fellowship Hail
for a sandwich supper, with cake
and punch provided by the Wom
en of the Church. The children
and youth choirs then went car
oling in the community and the
hospitals. A Christmas morning
service was held at Bethesda Fri
day morning.
