The Moore Republican
Women’s Club will hold its
regular meeting on Monday,
April 27, at 7:30 p.m. at the Civic
Club in Southern Pines. The club
is on the corner of Ashe and
Pennsylvania Avenues.
The main speaker will be
Eleanor Swaim, Chaplain of the
National Federation of
Republican Women. George
Little, Chairman of the Moore
County Republican party, will
explain briefly the exact political
structure in Moore County.
All club members and in
terested women are urged to
bring at least one guest, male or
female, to this important
meeting. For further in

At the last P.T.A. meeting for
the year at Southern Pines
Elementary School, on April 30, a
sale of flowering plants will end a
several months’ growing project
by the children, under the
guidance of Elizabeth Gamer,
Librarian. They have also had a
trip to S.C.C. Horticultural Dept,
and advice from Mr. Garrett
there.
Another special event at this
last meeting will be the showing
of a 15 minute film “What’s So
Great About Books?” This film.

sponsored by the RIF program of

Pines Library and was obtained
