C., reports a pretty fight there betweeu the Americru Tobac co Company and an independent drug gist. This druggist gets out a cigar brand of his own, and refuses to sell the goods of the trust, which is taking steps to get him out of the way. According to this gentleman the Cuba no la Cigar, of the American Tobacco Company, is selling two for five cents in Winston.—Richmond Times. Jim Wilcox's fate will be with North Carolina's five Supreme Court judges about August. The defense lawyers will present an able plea U> save the young man's life. Aside from exceptions taken during the trial there will probably be presented affidavits telling of the demon stration on the part of citizens while Lawyer Avdlett was making the final speech.
